The Wilson Family: October 2012

There have been a couple of very funny conversations that I have had with Sibley lately about the pregnancy. This first one she still had no idea I was pregnant.

So one evening I was giving her a bath and I'm kneeling at the bathtub so my stomach is kind of sticking out a little more than usual and it's after I've eaten dinner so it's really looking big! So she's in the bathtub and looks down at my stomach and does a little giggle. So here is the conversation:
Me: "what's so funny?"
Sibley: "you're belly."
Me: "what's so funny about it?'
Sibley: "it's silly!"
Me: "Why is it silly?"
Sibley: "It just is, it's silly like Poppi's!" (Poppi is Justin's dad)
Me: "So is my belly starting to look like Poppi's belly?"
Sibley: she laughs and says "Yea!"

So the next one was when I told her I had a baby in my belly...

Me: "Hey Sibley, come here and talk to me because I have something very important to tell you!"
She starts getting pretty excited and wants to know what I want to tell her.
"So have you noticed my belly getting bigger lately?"
Sibley "Yes!" while giggling
Me: "Why do you think my belly is getting bigger?"
Sibley: "Because you've been eating a lot of food?"
Me: "No...do you want to guess again?"
Sibley: "Because you've been eating a lot of dinner?"
Me: "No...it's because I have a baby in my belly!"

It took her a minute to process this and then she got very excited and definitely thinks (or wants) it to be a girl so she can have a baby sister! She is really excited and loves calling people on the phone to tell them that "mommy has a baby in her belly!" Wyatt just keeps saying, "I want to see your baby in your belly." Just showing him my belly and explaining that the baby is inside so we can't see it yet seems to do the trick for now. But he randomly wants to "see the baby" throughout the day. It's pretty cute! Oh and today they both were talking to my belly saying, "hi baby! are you healthy? are you eating good?" All while Wyatt is petting my stomach because he knows you have to "pet" babies and be gentle. Hopefully that's a good sign that he'll be a good big brother and not get too jealous...

Walt Disney World - Here we come! On Oct. 15 we set off for Disney World! Sibley and Wyatt have been looking forward to this trip and they had a blast!!! We were there from Oct. 15-20 and we went with my parents (Nonni and Nonno), Robert, Cheryl, Sophia, Renato, Mary and Renato IV. Everyone had a great time and Wyatt has already been saying he wants to go back to the park right now. When he says "the park" he's referring to Disney World to see the characters. We met lots and lots of characters, Sibley and Sophia were transformed into beautiful princesses, we rode lots of rides and saw magical shows like Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Disney Live with all the favorite characters! This was a great time of year to go (while big kids were still in school) so we were able to see and hug many characters, multiple times! Thanks again Nonni and Nonno for a GREAT trip!!!

After we arrived on Monday afternoon we went straight to Epcot to have dinner with the Princesses!

While we were on our way to the restaurant in the park we came across Donald Duck dresses for a fiesta! This was our first of many character sightings and the kids were really excited!

Right before you enter the "Ballroom" where you eat everyone got to get their picture made with Bell from Beauty and the Beast!

While we ate all the princesses came around to the tables to meet us. Here is Ariel from the Little Mermaid. I think Wyatt was starstruck!

They had all the kids get in line to parade through the restaurant with the princesses and here is Sibley returning, excited as ever!

Sibley and Sophia had appointments at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Downtown Disney on Tuesday. They got their hair, make-up and nails done, along with receiving a princess sash and a beautiful Minnie Mouse hair clip with pink diamonds for a finishing touch. Oh and don't forget lots of pixie dust!!! Here they waiting to be transformed by their fairy godmother!

After the girls' appointments we headed off to the Magic Kingdom! Here we are in front of the princess' castle!

We came upon a parade when we first got there. Here is Woody and Jessy from Toy Story dancing away!

This was a kids roller coaster that Sibley and Justin rode called Goofy's Barnstormer. If you look really closely you can see right under the bar that's above the propeller you can see Sibley's princess hair barely sticking up. They got front row seats on the roller coaster! Sibley said she had lots of fun!

Tinkerbell! They were so excited about meeting Tinkerbell! Two days before when we were at the Magic Kingdom they wanted to meet her but the line was 45 min. long and there was not a fast pass available so we skipped it. Wyatt was so upset that he didn't get to meet her so that night while he was sleeping, I guess he was dreaming about it because he was whining in his sleep "I want to see Tinkerbell!" So on our second day at the Magic Kingdom we got there as early as we could and went straight to Tinkerbell. The line time was still at 40 minutes but they wanted to wait. It ended up be about 35 minutes but it wasn't so bad because they had a Tinkerbell show playing to keep them occupied.

I didn't know Tinkerbell has a sister but apparently she does and this is her, Periwinkle!

We waited and waited to see Merida and I think Sibley was coming down with a fever and she fell asleep so Merida came over to Sibley to take a picture with her and signed her book so she wouldn't miss out!

After you meet Merida you can go shoot her bow and arrow! Wyatt was so excited about doing this and even got a bullseye! Maybe he will be into archery like his daddy!

Sibley just woke up right before it was time to meet Buzz Lightyear (from Toy Story) so she was a little out of it.

Here we are on our last day at Disney World. We went to Hollywood Studios! They had fun here and it was a great park to go to on the last day because there were many more shows than rides so everyone could sit, watch the shows and rest because they were all starting to get very tired by this day. So here is Wyatt and Sophia fighting over the stroller. :)
